Many of Ireland’s traditional buildings lie derelict, in poor repair, awaiting the right team to transform them into warm, comfortable homes that meet modern energy efficiency standards, while preserving their vernacular heritage and unique character. In one such example, in rural Co. Kerry, a stable conversion has pushed the boundaries of energy efficiency through the innovative use of low-carbon materials.
