Overview
The Auro Ecolith 343 is a purely mineral paint suitable for interior and exterior use. It is a premium quality lime paint which is highly washable and can be used on numerous surfaces including over conventional plastic paints. Due to its high alkalinity and breathability it is particularly resistant to mould. It has zero VOC emissions.
Where to use it
This can be used internally or externally on plaster surfaces, mineral and clay substrates or over previously painted conventional plastic paints. Please note it is not suitable for use over natural resin based paints. It is very easy to apply and it has excellent coverage, it can cover approx 16sq/m per litre on smooth surfaces.

It provides a very hard wearing surface for your walls and ceilings. It is a beautiful matt finish which is extremely abrasion resistant and breathable.

How it works
This premium product results from the combination of Auro’s many years of research on natural raw materials and the superb characteristics of graphene fibres.
Ecolith lime paint is extremely flexible, very durable and universally usable on all common interior and exterior surfaces. Ecolith helps to prevent mould infestation.as it is highly breathable and has a pH of 12.
It can be brushed, rolled or spray applied and cleaning can be done by using water and Auro Plant Soap 411 as required.

Questions
Is Ecolith paint suitable for use on exterior walls of house which has been previously painted with conventional paint?
Yes, the Ecolith Paint can be used over previously painted surfaces as long as the paint is in good condition, any loose or unstable paint should be removed. A test area for compatibility is always recommended first.
Are there sample pots available?
We don't have sample pots available in the exterior paint but if you go to product Wall and Ceiling Paint 555 an interior colour sample can be got in the desired colour to test shade.

Installation Guide
The product must first be diluted with 10% water. It is not ready to use until this is done.
Suitable for all interior rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms and nurseries, older properties with potential damp problems. The paint can also be used on plaster, clay plaster, lime plaster, concrete, reworkable old coatings, e.g. dispersions, lime, mineral paints, also plastic- based dispersions. The paint cannot be used over natural resin-based paints. We recommend a test area to ensure compatibility prior to carrying out the job
Highly absorbent interior new plaster should be primed using Auro Plaster Primer 301.
If unsure what the surface is or it is a poorly absorbing or difficult surface, we would recommend priming with Auro Grip Coat 505 It is re-coatable after 6 hours.
For unpainted exterior surfaces we recommend to prime with the Auro Grip Coat 505 before applying the Ecolith. It can be used directly onto intact, plastic based paints without priming. When using externally, the painted surface should be protected from heavy rainfall for 4 days after painting.
The paint has excellent coverage – up to 16sq/m per litre and is very easy to apply by brush, roller or by spraying.
