For Manual Tinting of Auro Wall Paints or to be used alone as a paint
Use it on
Interior Walls and ceilings mixed with Auro Wall Paints
Overview
The Auro Full Shade Tinting Colour can be used on it’s own as a strong shade for walls and ceilings. It can be mixed with Auro wall paints 321, 524, 505 and 331 to make your own shades. We do however recommend that you choose the premium ready mixed wall and ceiling paints 555 or the High-Grade clay paint Colours 535 when you are looking for a colour. This gives you a much broader choice of colours with extremely accurate colour accuracy.
Where to use it
The Auro Full Shade Tinting Colour can be used on its own as a strong shade for walls and ceilings on all regular interior plaster. If the surface was previously painted with an unknown paint, we recommend you try a test area to ensure compatibility or prime with the Auro Grip Coat 505. It can be mixed with Auro wall paints 321, 524, 505, 331 to make your own shades. We do however recommend that you choose the Auro 555 or 535 ready mixed paints when you are looking for a colour. This gives you a much broader choice of colours with extreme colour accuracy.
What it does
The Auro Full Shade Tinting Colour is mixed into the Auro Wall Paints to make colours. This is the old method of mixing paints before Auro developed a new tinting machine with natural pigments. The 330 full shade tints can also be used on their own for a strong shade.
Why we love it
There are 8 colour tints available each made from natural earth and mineral pigments; ochre yellow, ultramarine blue, English red, Persian red, Oxide green, iron oxide brown, burnt umber, and Earth black.
Ingredients for Colour shades 330-10/330-30/330-32/330-50/330-60/ 330-99:
Water, mineral pigments, Replebin, cellulose, silicate, potassium silicate, surfactants made of rapeseed- and castor oil.
Ingredients for Colour Shades 330-81/330-82:
Water, mineral pigments, Replebin, cellulose, surfactants made of rapeseed- and castor oil, ammonia, benzisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone.
How it works
The full shade colours are very strong colours so when they are added to white, they colour the paint. For example, the full shade colour ochre yellow when added to white will make an off white to a light cream, the more tint that is added the darker the colour becomes.
Hint and tips
If looking for a colour we highly recommend choosing the Auro Premium Ready Mixed Wall Paints 555 or the Auro Ready Mixed Clay Paints 535.

Questions
I used to have to mix the colour by buying the tint and the Paint separately, do I still need to do this?
No, we now have ready mixed paint available in a range of paints, for wall paints and for timber. These are all made to order from our automated tinting machine using natural mineral pigments. For walls and ceilings, you can choose from the 555 dispersion paints or the 535 clay paints. For woodwork check out the Satin 517 or Gloss 516.
Of course it is still possible to purchase both separately if this is what you like to do by choosing a white base (321, 524, 331) and the 330 full shade tinting colours.

Installation Guide
When the full shade colour is being used on its own it can be brushed, rolled or spray applied like any standard paint. It can be thinned by up to 10% with water.
If mixing it into a white base such as Auro Wall Paints 321, 524, 505, or 331 it should be carefully measured, and it is important to record the amount of tint used for future reference. The paint should be stirred up by using a spiral mixer and drill or it can be simply stirred into the paint by using a stirring stick. See the above product information to see what is the maximum amount of tint which can be added
