Product Overview
The wind protection insert serves as additional security against high wind pressure in wind-exposed locations.
It can be used in the IV Smart+, IV14 Zero, IV Light, and the 100mm diameter version can be used with the Aviant extract fan. It is commonly used at highly exposed areas for example coastal areas or can be used during stormy conditions.
Overview
The Inventer wind protection insert serves as an additional wind protection for extreme winds or on exposed locations. It can be installed at installation stage as well as retrofitted into existing units.
What it does
The wind protection insert is made of polycarbonate in a honeycomb structure with insulation which ensures the stabilisation of the wind pressure within the system.
Why we love it
It is very easy to install or take out as necessary, it can be easily cleaned by removing it from the unit at least annually and it can be washed with water. It is highly durable and can be used repeatedly, it would only need replacing if damaged.
How it works
The Inventer wind protection insert consists of polycarbonate in a honeycomb structure with insulation designed to block extreme wind from entering the building.
If it is being put in at installation stage, it should be placed into the wall sleeve before the thermal accumulator and fan so that it is closest to the exterior cover. It is worth noting that using the wind protection insert reduces the airflow by a maximum of 10%. Defective wind protection inserts should be replaced immediately as this will affect the airflow.
