An environmentally friendly metal primer for use on metal surfaces before painting the finish coats. It is reddish/brown colour. The metal should be free of rust before applying the primer.

Auro Rust Protection 519 is an environmentally friendly metal primer. It is suitable for both interior and exterior metal, steel and iron.
What it does
It primes the metal surface before the finish coat of Auro Satin Paint 517 or Auro Gloss Paint 516 It is solvent-free and virtually odourless.

How it works
The Auro Rust Protection Primer 519 is a water thinnable paint which can be diluted with water up to 5%. It is a reddish/brown colour.

Installation Guide
Before applying the Auro Rust Protection Primer 519 the surface should be rust free, dry, chemically neutral, adhesive and able to support the paint.
If there is rust present it should be removed by wire brush or sanding. Do not use rust converters.
Remove old non adhering coatings or sand existing coatings which are in good conditions to matt.
Prime the surface with the Rust Protection Primer by brush, roller or by spraying.
Exterior surfaces will need two coats of primer.
Allow 6 hours in between coats to fully dry. It will be dust dry in approximately two hours.
Overcoat with Auro Satin Paint 517 or Auro Gloss Paint 516 in white or colours.
