Main Purpose
The Auro Skim Coating is the ideal preparation for interior wall surfaces that have small irregularities or have the joints between plasterboards bridged by reinforcing or fabric tapes.

Overview
This is a highly breathable smoothing compound for indoor wall surfaces that have slight irregularities or have the joints between plasterboards bridged by reinforcing or fabric tapes. This skim coating is ready-to-use and can be applied by a trowel.
Where to use it
It can be used on all common types of indoor wall surfaces, such as plaster, gypsum plasterboards, clay, concrete, silicate plaster, lime sandstone. The surface must be clean, dry and stable before applying the skim coating.
What it does
The Skim Coating provides an off white smooth surface which is suitable to be painted over using all Auro paints.

How it works
The Skim Coating does not trap moisture as it is highly breathable. It is applied by trowel to give a smooth finish and when it is full dry it can be sanded if needed. All ingredients are fully declared on the tin and in the data sheet. This product is vegan friendly.

Installation Guide
The Auro Skim Coating 339 Suitable for all common types of indoor wall surfaces including plaster, clay, concrete, silicate plaster, lime sandstone, gypsum plasterboards, glass fibre wallpaper and similar materials.
The substrate must be clean, dry, stable, free from oil or fat, adhesive, free of separative colouring substances.
Fill and repair any cracks or holes with Auro Wall filler 329. Sand new plaster to remove any sinter skin. . Sand old glossy coating to matt.
Stir product thoroughly apply with a trowel. Reinforcing or fabric tapes can be used to bridge the joints between plasterboards, edge protection profiles or reinforcements can also be incorporated in the skim coating. After drying, the surface can easily be sanded.
The surface can be painted with Auro Paint. If only part of the area was skim coated the Auro 505 Grip Coat Primer should be applied first to provide an even finish for the top coats.
A bucket will cover 10sq/m if applied at 1mm thickness.
