The house was very damp because moisture was trapped behind the external cement render. We decided to remove it and replace it with a 'breathable' plaster. We wanted to use materials that were sympathetic to how solid walls should perform and we were very pleased to find Ecological Building Systems right on our doorstep in Cumbria. They advised us technically every step of the way and were able to bring their practical experience to site too to support our builders.
