Heco, based in Germany began in 1888 in the bedroom of the inventor, Karl Hettich, in Schramberg where he invented a bending machine for making pendulum escapements. In 1936, the Hettich company started manufacturing screws. In 1967, Ludwig Hettich & Co Schraubenfabrik was founded, and Heco came into being. Heco has been developing, manufacturing, distributing screws and fixing systems ever since. Their manufacturing and distribution centre is in the town of Schramberg in the Black Forest, with 400 employees and a factory covering 20,000m² they continue to pioneer and innovate.
Heco Topix Plus Woodscrews have been designed with optimised thread, shank and tip for maximum insertion speed so no pre-drilling and less torque is required.
