How to Internally Insulate Solid Stone and Brick Walls - CAFs
An online training course on the options available for internal insulation on traditionally built walls
Description
Join us and CAfS (Cumbria Action for Sustainability) ‘virtually’ to learn about products and systems suitable for insulating 'traditional' solid stone and brick walls so prevalent in Cumbria and the surrounding area.
Ilias Igoumenidis our Technical Support Engineer will discuss the impact of moisture on solid stone/brick walls and how walls function before and after applying insulation. You’ll learn the importance of moisture management and best practice examples using breathable materials.
A ‘project case study’ of a West Cumbrian cottage renovation, will be presented by Fintan Wallace, Architectural Technologist.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions both during and after the presentation.
A virtual tour of our training centre and demonstration walls that highlight the different ‘breathable’ insulation systems will be provided along with practical hints and tips on installation and best practice.
Our highly knowledgeable and experienced technical team will be available throughout. After the demo, they’ll be happy to discuss any specific queries you might have about your own project.
