The Green Register - Airtightness Specification Drawings: The Process from a Contractor’s Perspective Session 3 of 4
Airtightness in detail for designers and builders.
Following the successful launch of this series of airtightness events last year, we're pleased to again provide this essential and popular training, consisting of four events running every Wednesday in October, in partnership with The Green Register. The series will cover all aspects of airtightness with each session lasting 2 hours and these can be attended individually or as a whole.
Description
Session 3 will focus on Airtightness specification drawings from a Contractors perspective. Niall Crosson and Joe Fitzgerald will recap on the red line rule for the air barrier line and how to define and review it, along with taking a look at how windtightness is defined and the blue line rule. In this session there will be a demonstration on how drawings are marked up for 3 common build types (Masonry, Timber Frame and CLT) and the strategies to adopt for airtight sealing.
Participants will then have the opportunity to look at elevation drawings with examples of different junctions and mark them up with the help of an experienced technical mentor who will facilitate the process and discussion.
