The role

Location:

The role is based in our head office in Athboy, Co. Meath with some occasional travel throughout Ireland as required.

Key Responsibilities:    

Stock management and Purchasing

  • Responsible for purchasing all stock from suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain efficient procedures to ensure accurate record-keeping and full traceability.
  • Place strong emphasis on verifying supplier purchase prices, maintaining high attention to detail, and ensuring payment terms and agreements are consistently followed.
  • Maintain and update the ERP system promptly with accurate stock levels, pricing updates, and the addition of new products as required.
  • Continuously monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply to meet market demand.
  • Work proactively with the Sales and Technical teams to anticipate future stock requirements based on customer demand.
  • Collaborate with supplier partners to schedule stock in line with their production timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with customs regulations and stay informed on relevant import/export legislation.
  • Prepare monthly stock control reports for warehouse staff and reconcile ERP data for monthly management accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies.
  • Organise and implement the annual stock take, including liaison with auditors.
  • Track all orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Keep detailed and up-to-date records of purchased goods, delivery schedules, and supplier invoices.
  • Generate regular reports on purchasing activity, including cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of all incoming stock.


Office

  • Assisting the Sales Executive team with tasks and support as required.
  • Ensuring the CRM system is consistently updated with customer interactions and actively monitoring Deal progress.
  • Overseeing the procurement of IT equipment and office supplies, while keeping accurate records of all related documentation, including receipts and warranties.


Warehouse

  • Liaising with Warehouse Operatives to communicate new products, procedure changes, and other updates to help reduce picking errors.
  • Monitoring packing material levels—such as pallets, boxes, tape, and wrap—and placing orders as needed to ensure consistent supply.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, business administration, sales support or similar.
  • Experience as a PA/Secretary may be advantageous.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office), experience with CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of construction industry and/or keen technical interest would be useful.

Other duties may include:

  • Travel to meet with suppliers and attend external events as needed.
  • Participate in trade shows and exhibitions to remain informed on industry developments and trends.
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of stock take spreadsheets.
  • Draft, format, and print documents as required.
