The role

As a result of expanding our product range to include decentralised MVHR systems an exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation’s Technical Department for a Technical Specification Advisor in the ventilation sector for our Inventer range. This technical role will involve the design of ventilation strategies for new and existing buildings. The role will involve liaising with customers such as architects, homeowners, developers/builders and M&E companies to provide solutions for offering excellent indoor air quality combined with energy efficiency.
The successful candidate will be tasked with developing the market by creating a cohesive, consistent and deliverable plan for our ventilation systems, liaising with Inventer’s Technical and Marketing team also alongside members of the Ecological Technical and Marketing Team in order to create whole building envelope specifications on projects (insulation, airtightness and ventilation).
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in ventilation within the construction sector, with a good working knowledge of the building regulations, in particular Approved Document F, Approved Document L, Approved Document O and PAS 2035.
Responsibilities
Represent Ecological Building Systems as an industry leader in air tightness, natural insulation, energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
Work with client enquiries relating to the design and specification of ventilation systems.
Assessing and marking up drawings and where required site visits to ensure correct proposed layout and positioning of ventilation units etc.
Producing technical specification documents for project sales quotations.
Working with other Technical Team members in order to ensure that other building fabric elements are assessed on ventilation projects (air tightness and insulation).
Provide advice to installers/electricians during the installation phase.
Preparation of client specific installation packs and assisting with post installation checklists.
Develop relationships with potential new customers and industry bodies via performing CPD presentations, attending trade shows etc.
Update records on the company’s CRM system.
Carry out other duties as directed by your manager.
About you
Minimum 5 years of experience in ventilation within the construction industry.
Relevant Construction related qualifications (Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction etc)
Have a detailed understanding of the building regulations, in particular Approved Document F, Approved Document L and Approved Document O (some working knowledge of PAS 2035 would be beneficial).
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF editing etc.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Enjoy working in a Team.
Ability to work remotely.
