Where to use it
Especially suited for use on all types of timber decking, the decking oil offers excellent protection and is available in 3 beautiful colours; Teak, Larch, and Bangkirai. This is a natural solvent based product. The solvents used in this product are all naturally occurring. It is available in a 750ml and 2.5 Litre tin and the coverage is up to 20sq/m per litre.
What it does
Auro Decking Oil 110 is a breathable oil made from natural ingredients, unlike most conventional paints the Auro oil does not contain any synthetic ingredients. The Auro Decking Oil 110 provides colour and protection to your surface. The oil fills the pores of the surface and once these are fully saturated it protects the surface from dirt, water, grease etc… the oils actively breathe and do not flake. The Oil has a water and dirt-repellent effect.
Why we love it
The decking oil produces a fresh, natural wood colour and ensures enhanced UV protection. An untreated deck will cause the timber to turn grey and unsightly. With the Auro Decking Oil the pigmentation produces a fresh, natural wood colour which gives it full protection. You will have a durable surface that is easy to maintain.
This product is vegan friendly.
How it works
The oil should be applied thinly which will then soak into the surface and fill the pores. Any excess which is not absorbed should be removed within 30 minutes of application. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours. The drying process is initiated by oxygen uptake (oxidation). Avoid exposure to dirt and moisture while drying.
Hints and Tips
Safety first: There is a danger of spontaneous ignition of drying oils. Do not crumble used cleaning cloths and the like. Spread them out for drying or store them in an air-tight closed metal container.

Installation Guide
It is recommended that surfaces are cleaned firstly using Auro Terrace cleaner 801 and then lightly sanded before applying the oil. The oil should be stirred well before application to ensure uniform distribution of pigment and it should be stirred regularly during application.
The oil is suitable for both new hardwoods, softwoods and for clean, dry, non-greasy and absorbent wood which has been lightly pre-oiled or may be slightly weathered. A test patch is always recommended for compatibility on previously oiled surfaces.
For an initial treatment of new, untreated wood, the oils can be applied using a brush or roller. Before drying, which takes around 20-30 minutes depending on the ambient temperature, any excess which has not been absorbed in this time should be removed using a fluff free cloth.
After leaving to dry for approx. 24 hours, a further coat can be applied. A light sanding should be done in between coats. Further coats will intensify the colour tone of the wood and give increased protection. Repeated treatment will produce a slightly satin finish surface. Generally 2 coats are desired.
Tools can afterwards be cleaned with Auro Orange Oil 191.
