Overview
The Inventer pollen filter is a high performing F5 filter that can remove fine dust, pollen and spores from inbound fresh air. Available in three sizes, the filter can be used with all Inventer ventilation units.
Where to use it
The Pollen Filter is available in three sizes to make it compatible with Inventer IV Smart+, IV-14 Zero, IV Compact, IV Light and IV Twin. The filter is fitted within the front cover of the ventilation unit between the fixing lugs and inner rim of the base plate.
What it does
The Pollen Filter was designed to remove pollen and spores from inbound fresh air. It also filters fine dust and debris including particles with bacteria and germ fragments. Bigger particles are also captured in this filter. Pollen and fragments can enter from outside through the external cover and make their way through the ceramic core and the fan but will be stopped entering the building by this specially designed filter.
The Pollen filter is much finer than the standard G4 dust filter included in the compatible ventilation units. Because of this, the filter will reduce the airflow rate by 25% and in the IV Twin, it reduces airflow rate by 50%. When used with the IV Twin, it is recommended that the filter is removed from the unit during periods of zero pollen. E.g. in winter.
Why we love it
Pollen can be a huge problem for some people, especially from Spring to Autumn. This filter stops these particles before they enter the home or workspace. This provides a better indoor air quality and much healthier environment for the building’s occupants.
How it works
As pollen and spores are always present (to some extent) in the external air, and ventilation units continuously supply external air to a building, allergens and potentially harmful small particles will make their way into the building. The Inventer Pollen filter will prevent this and capture these allergens before they reach the internal space.
The pollen filter is composed of unilateral calendered polyester. The filter can be used until it full. This is approximately 4 months. It should be disposed of in the household waste and replaced with a new one as necessary.
The pollen filter should be checked every month and replaced promptly when required. An over-full pollen filter will reduce the air flow volume of the ventilation unit which will reduce the amount of fresh air entering the building. Always check and replace regularly.

Installation Guide
The filter is available in three sizes to fit different models of Inventer fan. Please ensure you have purchased the correct filter for your fan and refer to the appropriate installation instructions below.
IV Smart+, IV-14 Zero, IV Compact
Remove the inner cover (interior/internal cover) by releasing the clickable tabs in each corner. Remove the existing filter by pulling the outer rubber ring which surrounds the filter. The pollen filter should then be placed into the same place as you removed the old filter. Press the new filter firmly between the fixing lugs and inner rim of the base plate and ensure the tab on the filter points towards the interior.
Once the filter is in place, the inner cover should be placed on the corner spacers with the ‘Inventer’ logo at the bottom right. Push the cover so it clicks into place. Ensure the cover is not closed completely; you may need to pull on it to re-open the “closable” cover.
IV Twin+
Follow the same process as for the IV Smart/IV-14 Zero/IV Compact, but please note, the unit has two fans, so there are two semi-circular filters to remove and replace instead of just the one.
IV Light
Remove the inner cover (interior/internal cover) by unclicking the tabs. Remove the existing filter by pulling it out from the lugs. The pollen filter should then be placed into the same location as the old filter. The IV Light has a round filter, ensure it is oriented correctly and inside the lugs of the unit. Attach the inner cover again by pressing it back into place. The ‘Inventer’ logo should be at the bottom right of the cover. Ensure the cover is not closed completely; you may need to pull on it to re-open the “closable” cover.
