How it works
The product contains both oils and a wax that treats the floor in a one-off application. The oils penetrate the timber while the wax forms a layer on top of the wood while still allowing the surface to breathe. The surface must be polished within 60 minutes of application. For large areas such as floors a polishing machine should be used. After 24 hours the floor can take light traffic such as walking gently on it. It will achieve it’s full hardness in 2 - 4 weeks and during this period it should be treated carefully and should not be exposed to liquids during this time.
Hints and Tips

Installation Guide
Substrate must be dry, solid, clean and free of grease.
For high quality solid wood – slightly soak wood in water and leave to dry for at least 60 minutes. Then, sand the wood in the direction of the grain until the desired smoothness has been reached, Remove all dust.
Wood containing resins or grease should be washed with an alcohol solution and sanded again. Do not allow the oil to penetrate the wood joints – it can cause stiff bonding of the wood; this could produce creaking or cracking noises of the floor.
Apply the product using a brush or roller (do not pour onto surface). Poorly absorbing surfaces can be diluted using the Auro orange oil 191 to help penetrate. On highly absorbing surfaces add more product wet on wet up to 4 times if required. Remove all excess that has not been absorbed within 60 minutes. It is important not to build up a film. Polish the surface within 60 minutes using a beige or white polishing pad on large areas.
If some Auro colour concentre 150 was used in the 1st coat to add some colour a transparent second application will be necessary after 24 hours on heavily used surfaces.
The surface would have to be cleaned, sanded finely and dust should be removed.
For heavily worn out surfaces they should be sanded back to bare wood before applying the product.
For maintenance cleaning wipe the surface with lukewarm water and add some Auro Floor Cleaner 427 or Auro Paint and Stain Cleaner 435.
For maintenance care use the Auro Floor Care Emulsion 431 or the Wooden Floors Cleaning and Care 661.
