What it does
It is an excellent environmentally friendly choice for painting your wooden panelling, it gives a beautiful matt finish which will still allow the woods grain to show through. It has a very high pigment concentration.
Why we love it
Old timber can very often darken a room by looking dark and yellowish, this product will lighten up the room. It is certified as safe for toys (DIN EN 71 Part 3) and saliva and sweat proof (DIN 53160). It is made from natural occurring materials and minerals.
It is made from entirely natural ingredients, the product can be composted and thus returning to the natural lifecycle of materials
How it works
The paint when applied and dried creates a lovely white, matt finish on the timber. For untreated timber which does not contain active substances the Paint can be used directly onto the panelling. If it is a timber containing active substances (for example; chestnut, larch, red cedar etc…) the Auro Special Primer 117 must be used before applying the Auro Wainscot White 814. The base for this should be smooth, slightly absorbent, dry, neutral, free of dust and grease, Auro Wainscot white can be thinned with 10% water.
Hints and tips
Always apply in the direction of the wood grain.
It is recommended to paint the full length of each panel to avoid overlaps when painting panelling.
Before use, Auro Wainscot white 814 should be well stirred as pigments can settle out at the bottom of the tin
